Company Profile

Wolverine Dermatology
Company Overview
The story of Wolverine Dermatology is a story of service. Service above self to our great nation, through times of war.
Wolverine Dermatology is a well-established and respected general dermatology and Mohs practice that works with three major hospital systems as well as independent practices. We are working to build a regional center of excellence that will someday boast full-spectrum dermatologic care. We are strategically located near the University of Michigan West Hospital and the Wyoming VA Medical Center. We comfortably practice in a state-of-the-art building with a design theme of an “upscale Michigan lake house.”
We are supremely proud of our hard-working and enthusiastic staff that works joyfully and efficiently as a team. Each clinical team member is certified through the Certified Dermatology Nurse-Technician Training Program. Uniquely, we enjoy a variety of training levels and experience backgrounds as we have a mixture of medical assistants and nurses, in addition to having our own billing and referral management departments.
Company History
Our owner and Medical Director, Dr. Ryan Freeland, is a veteran of our United States Armed Forces. He trained at the San Antonio Military Health Consortium and later served on teaching faculty at our military’s two elite medical training centers, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the San Antonio Military Health Consortium. He developed his medical skills while caring for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines whether in the States or on the battlefields of war. He served our great country with excellence and distinction and have chosen to join forces to care for the community of West Michigan. Together with their outstanding team of professionals, he has vowed to pour his relentless, professional efforts into caring for you and your family.
As an expression of our team dynamic, we wear navy blue scrubs as our daily uniform. On 10 specific military holidays, we celebrate and remember our rich heritage by wearing camouflage scrubs that represent each of the major military branches.
